Your PO can help you find work, but to keep the job you have to really work, including showing up on time and working every shift you are assigned.
The Salvation Army can assist you as well. They usually have lists of employers who hire felons.
Volunteers of America will help you also.

Try contacting The Worksource OR Texas Dept of Assistive & Rehabilitative Services. (DARS). They do a little of everything, Social Security problems, finding a Dr & employment assistance & won't be "shocked" by a felon.

yeah you can, but it probably wont be a very prestigious position. you aint too old to get a degree. i think you should try to learn a trade or go to community college. you'll find the job search much easier then. good luck bro

yeah, try moving outside the county you got the felony in, sometimes employers only do a backround check for the county that they're in.

yeah and especially if your a mexican..no pun intended.......seems thats the new thing today......hiring older mexicans........and felons
