Hello all, My husband and I recently were married in June of this year. We decided to go ahead and start trying while on our honey moon. Long story short, we miscarried @ 5 weeks the first week of August. I had 2 normal periods 1 in Sept. and 1 in Oct. - Oct. 12th was the first day of my last. I have yet to start this month. I purchased some of the early pregnancy test online and took on around 2 weeks ago, it was negative and there is still no line to this day as I kept it just for reference. I took a test 4 days ago and at first it said negative, but about 8 or 10 minutes later a faint pink line, but very noticable, appeared. Even showed it to my husband and he aggreed that it was there and I wasent seeing things. So I took another test last night and the same thing happend, only 1 line at first, but after @ 8 or 10 minutes there was another line a little darker than last time... Could this be the "evaporating line" or could I possibly be pregnant again? Any Help?

Results that change after 10 minutes are not reliable. If you read all the papers that came with your test it should tell you this. You could try a digital pregnancy test, it will say the words pregnant or not pregnant so there won't be any mistake about it. This should solve your problem. Usually results appear within 3 minutes. Good luck to you.

If it took that long to show the second line, it's probably an evap line. Take the test first thing in the morning when your HCG hormone is the strongest. If you read the instructions, it even tells you that. The results should show after the time they say, anything after that should be ignored. So take a test first thing in the morning, or wait a long while to go to the bathroom today, then test. That way the pee is not diluted.

Most tests say not to trust results after 10 minutes.

Take another, if the line appears after 2 or 3 minutes (time it) then congratulations are in order!

Follow the test closely - the directions say don't read the test after 10 minutes. The colors bleed over time. Take the test - wait the 3-5 minutes then read the test. Then wrap the test up and throw it away and don't look at it again

Some tests are worse than others for evaporation lines. If you are indeed pregnant, then the test should become positive much quicker a few days from now.

Good luck TTC!

To my understanding, a line is a line, so you are probably pregnant.
