I have a fragment of Phoenician pottery made about 2,500 years ago.

I have some mother of pearl gambling game pieces made in the 18th century. http://www.anythinganywhere.com/commerce/exo/mop.htm has some pictures of what they look like. They're small but very pretty.
My husband has a Bible in relatively ok condition from 1614! I wont even touch the thing for fear I'll damage it. He also collects all of the older material published by Jehovah's Witnesses (which we're a part of) as well as material from the Russelites and Bible Students in the late 1800's. He's got a few fossils too lol.
My hubby's an Opthamologist and a pack rat. So unfortunately, he has the money to spend on some of his interests (for now anyhow!)

I have this big old ugly Morris chair with lion head arm-rests and claw feet. The original horse-hide, horse hair stuffed cushions are covered with this wonderfully hideous olive green on white velvet atrocity. I'd never get rid of it. The thing's at least a hundred years old, sat out on a great-great uncle's porch in the '30s and '40s. It's horrifying to look at, but it rocks.

My house IS the oldest thing I have. It was built between 1847 and 1854. We found an "ink bottle" on the property that we believe predates the house but I have been unsuccessfull thus far in definitively proving this, so I don't count it.

My dog - he's 105 in Dog Years.
Actually, I have a kitchen 'stove pipe cover' which was made in 1904. And a Marriage License from 1878. And a portrait dated 1874.

I also have pictures of my great-great grandparents probably around the Civil War 1861-1864.

You mean besides my husband? Then it's going to be an ornamental box which probably dates to the early 1910s.

It is probably a few of the silver items as some of them are early eighteenth century or it may be a carved wooden box that some antique dealers we have taken it to reckon is mid sixteenth century while others have said it is the same age as the silver.

Me!
No, seriously though we have photos of my Husband's great grandparents taken in the late 1800's.
I think we also have a few Roman Coins but I am unsure of the authenticity of their origins although I was told they were genuine by my Father-In-Law. If they are authentic they are dated BC.
And I am quite sure I have a Native American arrow tip as well.

I don't have many old things in my house..
I have a TV Guide with Elvis on it from 1956.
And I have some Elvis records from the 70's and a decanter from 77.
That's pretty much it. I'm a youngster. :o)
