I'm 33 weeks 5 days pregnant and my discharge has increased but it has been clear or milky. Today I went to the restroom and I had this thick yellow snotty looking discharge when I wiped. Is this normal or could it be the start of my mucus plug? Should I call the doc for this?

It's your mucus plug. No need to call, just mention it at your next appointment.

It could be your mucus plug. When is your next appointment?? If it's soon then I would just wait. If it's still a week away, then call your doctor's office and talk with a nurse. It's always better to be on the safe side.

Good Luck.

It's called a mucus plug. It is absolutely normal. I didn't know about it either when it came out and it scared me. This means that your body is starting to get ready for delivery. It could take a week, a few days, or a few hours before you go into labor. Also, no one ever told me this either, but not everyone's water (or bag of waters) breaks when they start to go into labor. The doctor had to break mine for me. Good luck!

It could be the plug as this can happen weeks before the waters break and labour starts. Although it could also be a urinary infection.
Best go and see your midwife to get checked.

Good luck!

Mucous plug. It can be clear, yellow, gren, brown, bloodied. Just tell OB at your next visit. It can still be WEEKS yet, months even.
