For starters they don't make a 302 Cleveland.
All Ford 302 engines are small blocks also known as Windsors. I don't want to discourage you, but it is a lot of work & money to put a rough car back decent shape. A rebuilt 351C will cost over $1500. A rebuilt transmission $500
Body work $$$$ not knowing what can be replaced with after market parts. Interior $$$
You could easily spend $10K to get the car up & running with a decent body.

I had a "53 Ford that was stuck in park.
I found that the "piston" that goes into the valve body had moved to far out for the selector. All I had to do was push the "piston" into the valve body a bit, and then the selector fit right into the "piston". This was not a real fix, as the selector was worn enought that it didn' fit the "piston" correctly. If it was parked on a hill I would have the same problem. Then I had to remove the pan and do it all over again.

Figure a budget for your engine rebuild, and what you want the engine to do. You want durability and a daily driver or do you want screaming power with loud exhaust? Choices like that will help you figure what parts you will need overall.

Emory Cloth. It is a super fine type of sand paper. Sold in thin strips to get into tight places (like the journals).
