I would wonder if they can just test on the disease itself. Like a virus or bug with out it being in an animal.
I don't know...one dead rat may save thousands of lives....but thats the way life goes.....if we save everyone the world will be more over populated than it already is.
Life is to live and die.

I am completely against it. I don't care WHAT their benefiting. The people force the animals to do that stuff and treat them horribly. They force-feed the animals the product, They put them in small cages, Put needles into their body WHILE THEIR STILL ALIVE, Force them to do things thats life threatening, and more. If scientists are so smart why can't they come up with a testing where an animal is not envolved? Why don't they stop putting so much money into animal testing and instead put money into coming up with a better substitute thats not harmful to animals? They are mean, cruel, sick people who deserve to be tortured like they torture those animals.

I'm against animal testing. Regardless whether it's a rat or a monkey, an animal is a breathing and living animal. It's like saying it's OK to kill some animals but not others.

Against it.
I feel that if we really need to test things for humans we should test them on humans.....after all.....a mouse is not a human, a monkey is not a human, and a pig is not a human....but they have the right to a normal life free of being tested on.
Can a mouse/monkey/pig volunteer for testing?
When they can and do is when we should use them.
Gabrielle....I agree.....people who violent commit crimes against others are the ones these things should be tested on.

To be honest im against it. I hate the fact that because animals can't talk and speak out etc that we think we can do whatever we want to them. The way i see it, humans want the stuff, test it on themselves. It isnt fair.

Against....I know I'm gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this but oh well....
I think they should use prisoners that are serving a lifetime sentence without the possibility of parole
and my uncle is in prison, they could start with him

for
human beings are more important than mice and monkeys, however i would be open for medical testing on scumbag prisoners with life sentences or capital sentences.
to all hypocrites who say they oppose testing: next time you get a headache, don't take anything for it because it was tested on animals before it was released.

I am for it. It is not like they are stealing people's pets out of their back yards to do it. I kind of agree about the monkeys but use all the rats and mice you want. Just not Mickey.
