i heard that in his new contract there is a clause that should the yankees make the postseason then he is to be left off the postseason roster. i think its a great idea. the yankees will have a better chance of winning in the playoffs and A-rod can avoid embarrassing himself on a big stage once again. what do you think?

When more is given more is expected. No ring notta one just like Bonds.

Jeter?

I"ll trade you 54 A-Rod home runs for 3 Reggie Jackson Home Runs anytime ...
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "money player."
George ... why? He's had a chance he's just not a Yankee
Staring pitching ... staring pitching ... starting pitching ...
Of course it wasn't pitching that cost us the extra innning game against cleveland, where was the money then A-Rod?
Yeah hoooo April Rod is back ... I know maybe we can get Bonds too ... then we'd have a matching set of Mr. Aprils. Where have you gone Reggie ...

ha ha very funny. The Yankees would not do this if they want to win. A-Rod is a great baseball player. There have been many players who have struggled in the postseason only to have a great postseason in years following their poor preformances. Barry Bonds could not hit anything in the postseason when he was with the Pirates. When the Giants went to the World Series he was the main factor which guided them to the Series.

what a stupid clause. even though he does struggle in the post season, why would you pay him all those money just to leave him in the playoff roster.
and plus he is still a threat in that lineup no matter what

With a life time post season league championship batting average of .315 and 4 homeruns, and an overall lifetime average in all post season games of.279 with 7 homeruns I would think any team would love to have A-Rod on their team in post season play.

Was that really worth the 5 points you wasted to post this question? Last time I checked A-Rod's postseason stats were pretty decent, and he did get a HR this time.

What did Jeter do? Grounded into 3 game ending double plays.

If you don't like the guy... get off his nuts, because it seems you really like the smell.
