I love a good action movie and I think that "Ice Station" by Matt Reilly would make a superb film. After reading the book I pictured it being directed by either John Woo or Richard Donner.

My choice would be the Rowan series from Anne McCaffrey. There are like 5 books in the series. I like the direction in which she took the books and feel it would make a great sci-fi movie.

His Dark Materials books 2 & 3 (subtle knife and amber spyglass)

I really really hope they complete the trilogy but apparently it will all depend on the box office for golden compass (northern lights to all but the US)

It would be tragic if only one of the books was done.

Anita Shreeve - Strange Fits of Passion

There is a movie by this name... but it is NOT the same story at all. It just happens to have the same title.

Read about it here: http://kimbofo.typepad.com/readingmatters/2003/01/strange_fits_of.html

I'd like to see "Devil in the White City" - I think they're working on a film for it now though.

Otherwise, I think "Tuesday's With Morrie" would be a great one too!
