This is the Internet and people use this place as a fantasy place and therefore say things that aren't true as there's no way of knowing for sure who's lying and who's telling the truth as people are behind a computer screen and are anonymous and nobody can look them in their faces or see how they act through their body language. And some people are just liars in general. Some lie to protect themselves as well. That's why i feel it's best to just take everything at face value and not to get too emotionally attached or put too much into what people say especially on-line.

It is some people's nature to lie. They are afraid (for some reason, we don't know) of the truth. Some people have something to hide. Some think they are playing a trick on someone. Some think it's funny. And so on and so on.

Probably because most people feel as though the internet is the one place where they can escape from who they are. Whether it is someone who torments people in chats, or makes up stories about who they are. Its a chance to not think about you own life for once, let loose and have some fun.

I used to wonder about that when I did a lot of IM'ing. Why do people lie or why are people mean? I've come to the conclusion that their lives are mundane. To be someone else that might be more exciting or to be that person who says that evil things is who they wish to be.
I wish them well in their sadness.

Because in the real world, there are just as many fake people. You have to sort through them for yourself and pick out the ones you think are honest.

People like the amenity that the Internet provides. A nerd can be a jock, a jock can be a queen so on and so forth. Its human nature and if your are not happy with your life this is a great outlet.

Because that is just the way people are. Some are children who want to play games. Others are just deceitful creatures. Others are just those who don't want everyone to know all about them. It's a tough call on why people can't just be themselves. Good luck!

Because it's a fantasy world where you can claim to be anyone, talk sh$t to someone who would kill you in real life, and put someone down without having to see the way it will affect somebody. Basically, immature people swarm the internet.
