I feel depressed usually every day.
I go to a sh*thole college in a rural area 300 miles from my home, family and friends.
I know barely a single person here.
I hate my classes.
I hate my life.
I'm very poor and apparently now have a broken car.
My grades are taking a turn for the worse.
I'm so lonely here.
In terms of relationships, a girl would have to be *pretty* desperate to even consider me.
Even in terms of physical contact, it's been months since I even had a hug or handshake.
Last (school) year was much, much, much worse, however - so at least I'm no longer suicidal.
Uhm...I don't do anything about it. Not much I can do.
I often make the long drive home, hang out with friends and do a bunch of hard drugs.

Yeah... sometimes!
I usually try to find out the reason why i'm depressed!
When that doesn't work, you may feel even worse but there's nothing better than talk with your best friend about your problems!
If you don't like to share personal problems with your friends try asking people opinions on yahoo!answers.....
If you don't even know the reason why you are depressed... then try go to the beach or to a calm park.... eat chocolate or ice-cream.... listen to music.... look to old pictures of yourself when you were a baby or watch little kids play....
If anything like this works.... go to some psychologist...
*But never, really never take anti-depressive pills.... it will make it worse!

Yes...I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, and I've been on meds since then. I still have bad spells -- slumps, I call them -- but overall I'm pretty good.
Don't drink alcohol, or, if you must, don't drink much. Alcohol is a "depressant" for a reason. Also, eat well and get enough sleep...when your body is healthy, it's much better at fighting the depression. And please, please, seek help if you need it!
