I went to Disneyland with 2 adults and two children for $1,000. That included airfare, hotel (walking distance from Disneyland), 3 day hopper pass, a character breakfast, and other extras such as a $20 giftcard for Disneyland, souvenir coin, an extra hour for Toontown.

Check Costco.com at their travel section.

The big question is will the hotel allow you to rent only one room?

It depends when they are going..... If they go during the off-peak time Disney has hotels as cheap as $79 a night (Pop Century Resort), you might be able to find something cheaper outside of Disney, but again look for the off-peak times (usually January, May, October), but fool around with some dates. The tickets are about $65 per person, per day for a basic ticket (no hopper passes, etc)! That isn't going to change, its about the same price for Universal & for Sea World. I think if you get a hotel with a fridge & microwave you might be able to save money on food, by bringing your own or going to the grocery store when you get there. I brought my own granola bars & water into Disney. I'm sure if you have a stroller and/or backpack you can bring in stuff, just not cooler chests..... Its gonna be hard and they will really have to budget themselves but they might be able to spend at least a day or 2 at disney. Good Luck!

Highly unlikely! It cost almost $600 for me to go to Disney World for 3 days by myself! If they are Florida residents, they may get a discount. If not, then they could probably go to Downtown Disney and and stay at a motel on Irlo Bronson Highway in Kissimmee and eat at restaraunts off of the Disney property for 1500.

Unlikely if they want to stay on site- they'd need 2 rooms or a family suite at the all-stars resorts. Food is expensive there, too.

I think they'd be better off concentrating on saving until they can double the budget and then start looking.
