2. local paper ad's, online and/or print
3. flyer's around neighborhood
4. flyer's in all convenient and grocery stores
5. sticker up or magnetic sign your cars
6. get a dot com so people can read about you *
7. on the weekends, put those small signs in the grass near major intersections, etc. weekends the guy who regulates this stuff is off, most do it then.
8. any work you do, leave a sign in their yard for 2 weeks advertising your services, dot com
9. carry biz cards with you, everyone you meet, bump into, over hear, hand them a card.
10. talk, talk, talk, and more talk. takes time, but it will start small and grow and grow.

This is the perfect time to start that type of business. With the holidays coming up, many will want to freshen up the exterior of their homes. Your best bet, (I'm assuming you haven't gotten all the necessary licenses as yet), would be to create some paper flyers at home and begin a hand-to-hand distribution in your community. Hit the streets! Pop leaflets through letterboxes. If you've testimonials from anyone you've worked for, include them in your leaflet. It reassures potential customers.
