So Roland gets to the tower, scales all the stairs to enter the room. He then goes back to the start of his adventue coz he has no imagination, right? He is doomed to repeat his mistakes for eternity coz he has not the imagination to figure out the riddle of his life/his world.

Something like that. ALthough most of the DT novels were good the last one, The Dark Tower, did indeed seem to be rushed or no real thought given to the end. I think in time we all come to look at the books as a masterpiece of sorts.

I thought it was lame too.
Of course, that whole last book seemed a rushed bunch of garbage to me. The thing with the spider kid, and the guy who could draw things real seemed just kinda stuck in at the last minute.
