No. Through technology, people, who would have a hard time finding dates through classical means (just asking someone personally), can meet each other more easily. This can lead to romances which would never have started without technology.

Also, technology has made some people stay more at home and deal with themselves instead of going out and ask other personally if they would like to go out on a date with them.

You see? There are both good and bad aspects. Don't say it killed romance.

LOL,. have you looked at the Relationship category of Yahoo answers lately? Romance is still alive and well, enhanced by technology, and seen better from a higher point of view.

No, tech. did not kill romance because technology is something that needs someone to control it: it does not operate by itself. If you say that tech. killed romance then you are saying that the person behind technology killed it not the machine itself.

Technology facilitates our natural inclination to addiction rather than uncomfortable emotion. Addiction is the replacing of uncomfortable emotion with something smoother, calmer, more exciting or otherwise preferable. So I wouldn't say it has done it, but it has helped. So have the telephone (yes going back to the 20's or whenever it was invented), birth control, TV, and now massively the internet.

No it's facilitated it. I can't even count the number of couples I know who've met online. And they seem to be happy! Technology has brought back the modern-day equivalent of the love letter!

I think it is helping to destroy romance. You don't have to go on actual dates any more, you just meet up in a chat room.

I once entered a contest where you had to make up just one line. Mine was: In this age of mass communication is a whisper still heard?

My answer is no. What do YOU think?
