I have before. Many times. Friends are crap and the wife/husband should always come first. My wife is always placed higher than any friend regardless of who they think they are or how long I've known them.
Several friends tried to break us up and that isn't going to happen.
If a friend insults my wife, they're no longer a friend. I know that there are many people out there that could care less about their spouses and let the insults fly just to keep a friend.
Have fun with multiple marriages.

The husband or wife should have known about the close friend before the marriage and if it wasn't an issue then, it shouldn't be now, provided there isn't some kind extramarital relationship now with the "close friend"...

when you get married, you make sacrifices. relationships change and you may not be as close to friends you were once real close with. you need to look at why your husband want you to stop being friends with this person.
Is she a bad influence??
Is your friend a man and he feels threatened?
If its a legitimate reason....then you should respect your husband, he is just looking out for your relationship/marriage.
If its not, then maybe you guys need to go to some counseling or something before his insecurities get to out of control.
good luck!!

This is wrong to and really hard to decide but if I really need to choose one...I choose the one that I can't stand living without. Is it close friends or my partner..depend on situations.

Did it a couple of times. I think I can have only one person at a time to be completely loyal to. Maybe some are different, but I'm not.

No for three reasons
1. They knew about your friend while you two were dating
2. It is YOUR friend
3.If either ask you to choose neither are worth keeping
