Hey he did his time, he deserves to come back if he is clean and can stay that way. More importantly I think its hillarious that before the season started the Dolphins GM came out and flat out said that he would NOT allow Ricky Williams to return to the team, no matter what the situation may be. Now that Brown is injured the man is ready to welcome him back with open arms. What a loser, shows what kind of organization they are running over there when you can't even rely on the words of your own GM.

It's kind of hypocritical actually.

They reinstate Ricky Williams for "serving his suspension" but they denied O'Dell Thurman (Bengals)?!
I'm not a Bengals fan by any means (even though I live there) but wrong is wrong. Thurman should've been reinstated. He "served his suspension" just like Williams did.

Goodell is pretty inconsistent so far.
I hope he gets it right soon or his azz will be outta there!!

I clearly don't see the point either. Although he has served his suspension, he is a liability to any team.

You can't count on him. If he had a true love for the game, he would have stayed clean. I would be willing to say that the majority of hard working ethical players throughout the league think he is a joke.

This is one guy I would like to see go away- talent or not. I would rather watch TO than a guy who threw away the best years of his career for the love of weed.

He served his 18 months suspension.

As you're "hinting"at, it now remains to be seen if he can stay clean long enough to help a team. He is an amazing running back, despite the off the field problems. And, the Dolphins at 0-9 are desperate enough to give him a try. How much worse could it be?

I suppose Goodell figured that he did enough time for his crime. If he can stay clean and actually gets playing time for the Dolphins maybe they can actually win a game.

Kind of surprising the way Goodell has been about Pacman, Vick, etc...

He's served his time, so he should have the right to come back

It's all a big conspiracy to help the Fins out.... not that I think he will be able to do anything for them really...

He is probably so out of shape that a Canadian Football team wouldn't have him.
