I actually have. Thats one thing that really bothers me about the world and especially the United States. We r in the USA and NOONE should ever EVER have to go to bed at night hungry. Especially children and it really does break my heart into a million peices to see or even think about how many are hungry out there and how much we throw away at the end of the night. All these restaraunts throwing out this food when someone out there would kill for that left over hamburger or chicken- ya know? People in the 3rd world? What about the homeless and hungry in the USA? lets help our OWN before others

Not when i'm eating but i often think about how much waste there is when there's people starving out there with nothing. I cant personally do anything about it though except give to charities. If the world's governments wern't so greedy they could make a difference.

Feeling guilty when I eat by thinking that others do not have what I have, will not solve the problem.
I work hard to to put food on my table and for that I am thankful. I can give to the poor as much as my budget would allow me, but other than that there is nothing I can do about it.

No, because I am not solely responsible for their hunger, yes, it is sad but there is nothing I can do about apart from donate! I feel privileged to have been brought up in a country where food and water are a constant supply but I work damn hard and enjoy my food as well as other things.

Every time I eat, I feel so bad when I eat, and you would think that would stop me from eating so much but it is so much more emotional then anything, if I didn't feel like there was this void that needed to be filled then I would stop eating so much. I feel so bad for all of those hungry people and wish that they had full stomachs every night. I feel so guilty.

I live by what is called the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." Biblical.
I have been hungry before. So when I eat I give thanks for food I have and thanks I am not where I have been in the past, and yes, I think of those who may be starving.
They are not only in the third world. They are all over the world.
And I see this world as ONE world, and full of many places.
What we can do for those who answer they do not care, or it is not their concern is to remind them that circumstances change. You can be "okay" one day, have a house fire, lose a job or have something happen to the parents who take care of you and the Question asked would not be do you think of the starving people _____ , but it would be if we wrote it:
Do we think of YOU.
People who do not have to worry over it, never think of losing it. "You don't know what you have until it is gone."
Also if you have gone through it before you are closer in heart to it.
But ANYONE can know the feeling of hunger, and if you remove the ability to go and eat what and when you want, and stay in that hunger for a time, it makes you understand better.
I have been cold before, hungry before, homeless due to a flood where I lost everything I owned. And lastly a hurricane tore another house I lived in up, making it unlivable, Hurricane Rita...not long ago. I was in a place without a home, and no electricity for almost a month because of the storm damage. It brought back the other memories. I am better now, with a home better than the storm took away.
So the happenings in my life of times I was "without" make me think of those who are without. I have no living family so I had no one to ask for help.
In the Bible Paul says, "With food and clothing be content." I feel to add "and a place to live" because back then so many people lived with other people. Today you do not see that happening at all in my area anyhow, although I was in 2 seperate families homes when my house got ruined. I also stayed in a broken car in the yard.
But of everything, I DO know that without food and water no matter what ALL things we may have, we would not live long to have them.
I believe in life. I believe you have to stay alive for the bad times to get better.
I think of people with no food, yes. And I do what I can do, which is make sure those I meet face to face have food.
Ever ask people around you that you know or don't know, "Do you have enough food, would you let me know if you don't?"
I mean ask and get involved rather than just think about them.
If each of us took time to even take someone out to eat when we eat out.... if helping others in nothing but food and clothing, that is what the Bible says we can be content with. So few people are content with this. But those who have done and are doing without them are.
* A final "challange" to Christians and also to the Jewish.
I know what the Word says about "fasting" and it says that it is to deal our food out to the hungry as a part of what we do when we fast... (fasting = to deny the body food for a purpose for God)
When a fast is done, if on those "meals" missed believers would take those foods which would have been used had we eaten... and give them to a food pantry for the poor, or a battered woman's shelter, the Salvation Army... any of the churches who prepare meals for people, etc.... I know this would be helpful and also more as the Word intended.
Many I know who fast leave that part of it out. There is an opportunity to feed.
Isaiah Chapter 58:
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7---->>> Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10---->>> And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day
