I think knowledge and an open heart can lead you to faith.
I think faith is a bit of a confusing term. To a lot of people it means the act of devotion to the God of their choice. I can't read into their hearts so I can't tell if that is faith or knowledge on their part.
I can only read into my own heart. I think I was given some knowledge, which led to faith. Then through that faith, my knowledge grew.

If, you mean 'faith' as in religion(s) then knowledge is more important.
As i know loads of people who blindly follow religion but i know if they took a philosophy class it would all change or they would begin to question a little.
As i think usually the knowledgeable people question faith or things in general more. As i believe you can tell more from a person's questions than answers.

You cannot have knowledge without some kind of faith. You must believe in your memory, that you are capable of reasoning and sensing well, and ultimately that the universe makes some kind of sense that you can understand. There are people who do not have faith in some of these things and therefore reject whole fields of knowledge. If you have faith in none of them, you can know nothing.

Faith, but maybe not in the sense you are thinking of, you may have knowledge but you can only believe that knowledge with faith, otherwise it is just knowledge that you do not believe

One could view this as ..... which came first the chicken or the egg?
However, even if one had the knowledge, what good would it be if one had no faith/belief in it? The old adage...faith moves mountains... says it all.
For the spiritual traveler faith is very important to assist him/her on their unique path/way.
An excellent question. I look forward to viewing the other answers from our group. Thank you.

to me it's faith - even though I'm not religious. I have faith that people can be good, if the knowledge that they are not reveals itself, then I am devastated and disengage from that person, and continue a journey of faith.
Having faith AND the knowledge that some people are kind, generous souls keeps me going... (many thanks for your support frank)

Faith is only necessary in the lack of knowledge.

Consider this analogy, you are travelling in a train, supposedlly you are the sort of a person who likes to interact with people,so u talk to a lot of people, finally you reach ur destination, you say bye "pleasure talking to u" , get down and move on.
Faith is the destination and knowledge the people u meet through the journey. Its your choice, if the destination is important or the people u meet in the journey.
