I know the Bills and the Lions haven't made it since '97 but the Texans haven't been in at all. Who's been out the longest? And what's the longest streak in NFL history?

All Time, the Washington Redskins & Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals have the longest playoff droughts @ 25 years, the Redskins did not make the Playoffs between 1946 & 1970, at the same time as the Cardinals neglected the Playoffs each and every twelve months from 1949-1973. The Longest modern NFL Playoff drought belongs to tBuffalo expenses, who have not made the Playoffs for the reason that dropping to the Titans interior the "song city Miracle" in 1999

Terry C, the Chiefs made the playoffs LAST SEASON as a Wild Card. I think it's the Cardinals, and the Texans have only been in existance for about 5 or 6 seasons.

I believe the Cardinals haven't made it since the year before the Lions and Bills made it.

Well, the Texans haven't been around as long either...The Raiders have been awful since the glory days of...Rich Gannon...(2002)...Not that long...Obviously, the Lions have sucked since Barry left town until now...The 49ers I think have been once since Jeff Garcia was run out of town...The Jets have been bad since Bill Parcells left...Miami has been bad since Dan Marino retired...Went to the playoffs a couple times with Fiedler I guess, and Ricky before the pot...
Actually, I'd say the Cardinals, Dolphins, Jets and the Lions, all about 10 years or longer...Also the Browns, who I think went once with Tim Couch...The Chiefs haven't been since Trent Green was still healthy...and obviously he's not there anymore...

in terms of actually winning i would have to say the browns.
they have got to the playoffs but just never won.
