Global Warming will be a political issue during the next election cycle. Are YOU taking a proactive approach to help solve the problem,or just complaining?
Another way to look at it:do your actions offset your words?
Examples:
Complain about SUV's while driving a 10 year old pollution-mobile.
Complain about power plant emissions while having the central heat set at 78 degrees.
Complain about water issues while using that old commode with 7 gallons per flush, taking 30 minute showers,or using 50 gallons of water for a nice soak in the tub.
Complain about energy consumption while buying those inefficient incandescent light bulbs.
Etc...
Have YOU spent the money required to do YOUR part?

The silence is deafening.Looks like "do as I say,not as I do" is the prevailing attitude.

no. I've never needed any politician to tell me to do what is right. My parents taught me that and to think for myself.

Down graded the size of my house, sold my SUV and my sports car to get one more efficient car. Reinsulated my home and upgraded windows. Use in line water heater and efficient bulbs. Dropped my energy bill from $620 per month to $160 by the above and changing home HAVC system.
I did this all out of changing my carbon footprint on Earth as I do not believe Global Warming is man made.

Amos, I'll bet I have much less of an impact than most of you folks here..
And for the record, a 10-year old car save energy (vast amounts) versus the production of a new one, and if you maintain it, then, there really should not be much, if any pollution differential (depending on car type).
Further, Recycling and reduction in Meat consumption are actually very effective means to reduce the "footprint".

I try to yes, but it's not because of any kind of political motivation. I'm continually amazed be the depth of the devide in this country. Only in America could pollution become a partisan issue!

Carbon Credits is corruption. I am going greener however it makes no sense to give Companies like Waste Management Carbon Credits there is not a one to one ratio to Carbon produced to Carbon Saved so there is the means of corruption. The EU is having problems with the exchange so when they prove the science and it is not proven at this point and climate scientists do not agree the degree of the problem if it exists at all, I will do more. By the way have you created a wetland lately? I have so don't hector me watermelon. Green on the outside Red on the inside.
