Ending our current policy of violating international law by invading countries on a whim, and torturing people would help.

Joining the civilized countries of the world to reverse environmental damage would also help.

Ceasing support of human rights violators wouldn't do any harm, either.

It took until 9-11-00 to get the stench out of our nostrils from the previous occupant of the Oval Office..and honor was restored.

As for the rest of the world's thinking...who gives a rat's rear what France, Germany, Russia, the UN, or any two bit third world country thinks of us ?

yes, once bush,( the most hated man in the world) gets out, we will once again gain respect. til the next bush runs anyway.
