And yet another person who is bringing up the love argument.
Sigh.
Well, the opposite is true I guess. I can't prove hate exists.
Does that mean that god is hate as well?
You are saying that god is nothing more than emotions.

if u believe in god then y do u care what anyone else believes in? in ur eyes u will go to heaven n they wont end of story or r u being closed minded i agree with the first answer if god is an emotion then he may not exist in some peoples lives not every one feels love alot of people didnt grow up knowing what that was its a sad world these days im not athiest but i've learned god has nothing to do with love and i dont need him to feel loved i thanked him everyday for love and got my heart broken so god is god love is love life is life it just is what it is sometimes im not trying to be an ahole just giving u a different way of thinking about thinkgs if u only stick to the bible the church and religion u will only ever get those opinions and will not be able to create ur own by hearing other things open ur mind and make ur own decisions and create ur own thoughts on thing just because its what u r told doesnt mean its right people lie everyday what makes u think they didnt make things up back then too im just saying we shouldnt all be so quick to believe everything we r told

"Gee" is spot on. Furthermore all things are subject to interpretation, your interpretation of god is that of 'love' whereas others may not have the same views.
Therefore, who is actually correct? As each verse/paragraph in any book can have a 1,000 different interpretations.
How do you know what is the right one??
Also basically love and god completely different things, love is an emotion where as god is a being we invented to explain answers the human mind cannot understand.

To an athiest, God does not exist, so your first statement holds no weight, and therefore anything that follows holds no weight. I am not debating the existence of God here. I am simply answering your question.

I can prove to you that love exists. You still can't prove that God does.

Love is different than god. Or sneezing. Or apples. One doesn't depend on the other.

Don't be so smug. It's people like you who put atheists off the whole idea of God.

God defines love. He also defines life, truth, existence, soul, etc.

I don't think anyone is a true atheist. We all have hopes and dreams and feel the universe is beyond our human understanding.
