It means you might have to wipe your butt with a paper towel sometimes, and sometimes you might have to squat on the side of the road to pee, and sometimes you might have to down that 3 week old macaroni salad that was sitting in the fridge just so you can eat something today, and yes, it also means you might have to wash your clothes with dish soap, and go without clean underwear for a week, but whatever you got to do, you got to do to survive.
