assuming u have windows XP.

go to c:\ drive
go to tools menu on top.click folder options.goto view tab.select

show hidden files and folders.
also unckeck
"hide protected operating system files".
A warning message will be displayed
click yes to it.
click apply and click ok
click on document and settings


there will be some folders in light colour.they are the hidden folders now in front of you.

double click on the folder having ur user name.

double click on local settings.
double click on folder named "temporary internet files".
there will be a lot of files in there.all are or some of them are cookies.
press cntrl+A . all files will be selected. press delete. confirm yes.

all temporary data will be deleted.

come back to local settings folder again . double click the folder named"history".it will show the history of all the files and programs accessed".

select today,yesterday, etc

better select all by pressing cntrl+A . delete all by pressing delete button.
confirm yes to the warning message.


come back to the local settings folder.Double click the folder named "temp"

select all files and delete them as much as u can.u will be not be able to delete some of the files.don't worry let them as they are."


come back to local settings folder again . go back further and to the folder of ur user name.

there will be a folder named "my recent documents" with the icon of a clock on a paper.
double click on it.

select all items by pressing control+A except a file named desktop configuration settings.press delete.delete all other files.

even if u accidently try to delete the file named desktop configurations settings.A warning message will be displayed.

press no over there.


all ur cookies are now deleted.

1. Quit Internet Explorer and close all windows.
2. In Control Panel , double-click Internet Options.
3. In General tab,Click Delete Cookies under Temporary Internet Files
4. Click OK

Assuming you have VISTA or XP go to your top tool bar and click on Tools Internet Options and then click on your Browsing History clear cookies. You want to delete all after that.

In IE7 click the TOOLS button and choose Internet Options. On the general tab, click DELETE and choose which unnecessary files to delete.
