I posted a question about what to do about the PIG that works in my office...we all have one....the one who eats all the donuts in the coffee room, grabs handfuls of candy out of jars and is first in line at pot luck lunches....anyways I got lots of good answers. I decided to put out my candy bowl and was ready to tell he to only take ONE....well i took off the later part of the day and HALF OF MY CANDY IS GONE....i cant monitor this little pig while im not at my desk so do I:

Say something directly to him (even though I technically didnt see him eat my candy)

Or do I take if off my desk every time i leave??? Thanks!

If he can't take a hint or even direct instructions than you might just have to hide your candy dish when you're not at your desk.

People like that really piss me off.

Two things I know to have happened at the police department I retired from: A detective baked some brownies with Ex-Lax in them, told everyone BUT the office pig...guess who spent the day in the restroom?
Then, there were some guys from Narcotics section who persisted in stealing the donuts from the Vice Squad break room. One of the guys from Vice got a bunch of fresh horse manure and rolled the biggest, roundest pieces in powdered sugar and put them in a Dunkin' Donuts box. Left 'em by the coffee pot, and guess what? They got stolen! Cops are so much fun...K ;o)

There's one in my office, too...always first in line when there's food around...parties, luncheons, other people's doughnuts/pizza, but never, EVER, offers to help pay for any of it or bring something in that THEY paid for. They also hardly do any work but are first in line to get their paycheck...did you every notice that?? I guess they're just to busy walking around mooching food...

I think you should sit him down and have a chat with him. Bring him back to your side. That's what my friend did with his rabbit lol :)
