I am with John P and vic_vipe. Too bad there aren't more games with really good story lines, and a nice soundtrack that fits the story as it goes.

I don't think Star Wars is childish, though recent star wars games/shows would prove otherwise. It is not 1 dimensional either. I remember star wars from the good old days. Before george and the clone wars. You're not going to find anyone who knows about writing here. I think video game stories are as good(if not more often than not, better than) movies. Also there are excellent star wars games such as KOTOR. Not as good as Mass Effect, I concur, but still excellent.

Yeah, I love games that have a deep story. In my opinion, the best game that has a deep story is the Metal Gear Solid series. There's just so many twists, turns, and suprises in the games. In the Metal Gear Solid games, you just never know what will happen, and you can never really predict what's going to happen next.

i like a deep story but its not always the easiest thing to do. not romance or drama per se just something that makes you think and consider possibilities not one that is just fed to you with no repercussions to your own thought process

Who says you can be too old for games? That's utter nonsense.

And yes, thoughtful and clever storylines are important to me. The most engrossing game experience I ever had was in Deus Ex. (The first game, not the sequel.)

As long as it doesn't get in the way of the gameplay. If a game's all story and and no gameplay, it'll put me to sleep right away!
