nope once it pops, I consider it done

No. When the timer pops, it is supposed to indicate that the turkey is done. If for some reason, you think it isn't, pushing the timer back into the turkey won't accomplish anything, since the conditions right there won't have changed.

To me, they are unreliable. They have some kind of substance at their base that supposedly gets heated up to a certain point and expands, causing the timer to pop up. Basting fluids can affect them and cause them to pop before the full time of cooking is reached. You probably spent a lot on the turkey - I would spend a few more bucks on a meat thermometer and be sure....

i dont use those. i always remove them. i'm a very dedicated turkey cooker. I use a real thermometer to get the turkey to the exact temperature that i want it at.

No. It is time to come out. If you do push it back in it can reallllyy dry out

kinda like pushing the egg back in as the chicken is trying to lay it...just doesn't stay done!
