Old Bush? Did he do it again? Good for him. I would too if I could. If you have to ask, you simply don't understand the feelings of us old veterans. Be a good liberal and just ignore us. Or spit on us like back in the old days.

Neither! If this is one of his hobbies then if he wants to jump out of a perfectly good airplane that is his business. He is presumed to have the knowledge to line his capabilities up with the risks. Engaging in a hobby can not be either heroic or moronic. I may think that anyone who jumps out of a safe aircraft is a moron but to those who have the knowledge, confidence in the process, and the will -- apparently it is quite a thrill. I am not made that way and would not expect to be called a coward if I declined the opportunity to jump. I am successful at other things which most other people would consider less than advisable.
Thrill seeking can be moronic if proper consideration of ability and risk. Heroism is not the seeking of a thrill, but what one does in times of great need and fear with the common good as the motivation. To be a hero you have to do something for the greater good of others.

President Bush elder has jumped from skydiving planes before and has enjoyed the experience. There is nothing heroic or moronic about it. The moronic part belongs to the questioner. If he is better at skydiving then he is a golfer why should that disturb you.Rather than ask the question why don't you provide an answer. Just curious to see if you are a moron.

He's just trying to fire up those good old feelings he had when he bailed out on his crew and left them to die.
