I assume you're referring to the Apollo II astronauts. President Nixon was onboard the USS Hornet to personally greet the returning astronauts (well, as personal as you can be when the astronauts were in their quarantine chamber).

The first shuttle to enter space was the Columbia. The crew for STS-1 were John Young and Robert Crippen.

The last man to walk on the Moon was Gene Cernan, commander of Apollo XVII.

1. Usually the ship's captain and most the crew. On Apollo 11, Nixon was flown to the Hornet to greet the first moon walkers.

2. John Young and Robert Crippen. Young was also an Apollo astronaut & walked on the moon during Apollo 16.

3. Trick question... sorta. The last man to STEP FOOT on the moon was Jack Schmidt. He was the last man out, but the first guy back on board Apollo 17's lunar module, leaving Gene Cernan to make the last foot print.

The last words spoken from the surface of the moon: "Lets get this mother out of here..."
