These kids (teens/young adults) are crossing the border into Nuevo Laredo and simply disappearing. It's been going on for a few years now? Some have shown up dead. Others are being held for ransom. Yet others have been given as "gifts" to Mexican drug lords. And yet, our government says it's up to Mexico to do something about it! The politicians in Laredo are afraid to do anything about it out of fear it will drive away business, so they just look the other way! It's amazing! And the media is ignoring it, yet spends HUGE amount of media time covering the disappearance of ONE teenager in Aruba (for example).

Have YOU heard about this? I'm curious to know how much of America and the world are even aware this outrage is occurring?

tj...The parents have been trying to raise awareness, but who do they go to? The mayor is ignoring them. The Congressman is ignoring them. The media (with a few recent exceptions) are ignoring them. There is also a fear factor. Nuevo Laredo, where these kidnappings have been occurring, is right across the border...adjacent to Laredo. The drug cartels cross over with impunity. They have the city in a choke-hold of fear. Many of the families are too terrified to speak out...especially when their kids are being held by these people.

This is not a case of them having to travel many miles to get there. If you lived on the border, you'd understand the problem. Laredo and Nuevo Laredo are adjacent to each other. It's just one is in the US and the other is in Mexico. It's like St. Louis straddling two states.

What outrage do you want? Sounds like 59 of those kids/young adults ignored that something bad is going to happen if you cross the border. What did you want? A posse? The girl in Aruba got alot of attention because her parents demanded it from the media. Perhaps the parents of these kids should be setting up interviews and giving ransoms. Mexico is a different country, and I'd like to know how you know some of these kids are "given" to Mexican drug lords. Did they make an announcement or something?

And these kids are going to this third world country unarmed? Why would they do that? Build the damn wall.

An American and a Mexican are walking down the beach and they find a bottle. The Mexican looks inside for money but there is none so he drops it. The American picks it up and rubs it. Out pops a Genie and tell the American he has three wishes. The American thinks a second and says, I want all the illegal people in my country to be in Mexico. Poof, all the illegals from every country are transported to Mexico. The Mexican laughs and says, those people will all sneak back in within a month. The American says, for my second wish I want a 12 foot wall built around Mexico. Poof, the wall is created. The Mexican laughs his head off and says his people can easily get over a 12 foot wall. The genie asks the American what he wants for his third wish. He says, fill it with water.
