It all depends on how well you understand figures, which facet of accounting you are involved with, whether it is peon or management level work. My major was Industrial Engineering and Management . Two good courses in Cost Accounting fit in so well with my major that I leaned toward that phase. Determining costs of manufacturing processes, cost effectiveness of innovations were fun. Audits would have been a bore. Extremely rewarding .
