Excellent question !

Yes, both fears and ignorance partially (not totally) blind humans in knowing and in being each a living truth in Truth.

Our Master Jesus Christ Who IS all Living Truth of God to us, repeatedly tells us to "Fear not !" He gives us spiritual courage to honestly seek ever higher truths in science facts , philosophy meanings and Spirit values.

Sadly, few humans have been outwardly taught properly about living Truth; and they have not yet personally realized that the Spirit of Truth ever burns brightly in the center of each human's personality, spirit, soul and mind. They remain focused too much on their outer, transient, material space-time interactions.

However this present inferior condition of relative ignorance on earth can not remain static. Each day, even each moment, all mankind on average, is progressing according to God's perfect will.

His eternal Invitation-Command to each of us is:

"Be you perfect; even as I AM perfect."

Most people don't accept the truth so I don't know how it would blind them.

About 95% of people would rather be ignoraqnt than know the tryuth about something. I believe they have an innate fear of the ruth and I cannot decide why I think that is the case.

People also are more inclined to believe a lie than the truth. In the UK it seems also that people support losers and gang up on winners.

There is some bent notion that its bad to win and to be prosperous. Wonder if this will change in time for the Olympics or will be continue to be a nation of grateful losers even at home.

No I don't think most people even know what the truth is! We seem to live in a world where people like to delude themselves! So who gets to decide what this "truth" is?

Fear and ignorance stops people wanting to know or see the truth. So no, people are not blind on truth, they don't even see it.

Again, "yes" fear does amazing things to people..think..when you have decided to believe a certain thing for such a long time...and then, "Truth" comes out and slaps you in the face..that's scarry! so, you jump back to your original beliefs, (where it's safe!) and begin a regiment of criticisms and ...doesn't this sound familiar? as far as ignorance...those who have already formed an opinion, not based on fact, or even close..who throw their hands over their ears when 'truth" (again) is spoken..and do nothing but make lots of "loud noises" to insult the issues at hand, who wish to remain "ignorant..as if truth, and knowledge were a disease...so, if their is any "Blindness" going on, it is "willfull" and not innocent... "Peace!" :)

Most people are not blinded to the truth, they understand it very well and therefore make certain choices accordingly, so yes........fear, manipulation, and ignorance are reason for "one turning a blind eye to the truth."

thanks...I did have a pretty good day today...may your evening full of love.

We are blinded because of fear, but no longer of ignorance. Having endured several years of news on how we, as a species, is bludgeoning Mother Nature with our various human activities, including environmental degradation of almost every conceivable kind, we know, very well, what's wrong with this planet. - But what the ******* hell are we fighting for? All these wars we are making! Come on! It's perfect insanity! It's about time we started to stick together, isn't it ...? But screw that. Don't worry, be happy, and feign ignorance; that's bliss.

Fear yes. Truth is terrifying, usually more than most people can stand, so we jazz it up with delusion and denial. That extends our ignorance but ignorance is not itself a motivation for further ignorance, in my opinion.

Partly; fear drives ignorance in the demand for group fidelity and safety. The other fact is knowledge does not come from action of raw instincts but their contribution in self's phenomenology. Generally fear negates action on skepticism.

Yes. It is called denial. In order to shield ourselves from the truth, we will believe the most incredible lies.

It is the weapon that bullies and tyrants use to control us. They know that most of us feel weak and want to be looked after like children. They therefore will offer to protect us, and comfort us with lies whilst they sell us out and betray us again and again and again.

Hitler knew it. Goebbels knew it. Bush knows it. Rove knows it.

Westerners are rightly suspicious of Muslims. Their society is still largely theocratic and there are many Muslims determined to damage us. The place's the "blind lack of awareness?"
