Let’s see:
President Clinton led the fight against terrorism over strong opposition from Republicans in Congress and the pro-Republican Media. President Clinton:
President Clinton took the oath of office January 20, 1993. February, 26 - barely a month later - terrorists detonated more than 1,000 pounds of explosives under the World Trade Center, killing six and injuring about a thousand people. Bill Clinton and the Democrats never dreamed of trying to blame the outgoing George Herbert Walker Bush Administration. They just began working to keep us safe from terrorism.
What did Clinton do?
Found and had arrested four of Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman's disciples
Gave them a speedy trial where all were convicted them for the bombing
Sentenced them to 240 years in prison
All by March 1994, only 13 months after the bombing.
Officials captured the prime suspect Ramzi Ahmed Yousef in 1995. A court convicted him in November 1997 and sentenced him to 240 years in prison as well.
CLINTON VS. TERROR
HERE'S A PARTIAL - YET INCREDIBLY LONG - LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS AGAINST TERRORISM FOR WHICH THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION GETS ALMOST NO CREDIT OR EVEN RECOGNITION.
-- sent legislation to congress to tighten airport security. (remember, this is before 911) the legislation was defeated by the republicans because of opposition from the airlines.
-- sent legislation to Congress to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF TERRORIST FUNDING. It was defeated by Republicans in the Senate because of opposition from banking interests.
-- sent legislation to Congress to add tagents to explosives, to allow for BETTER TRACKING OF EXPLOSIVES USED BY TERRORISTS. It was defeated by the Republicans because of opposition from the NRA.
When Republicans couldn't prevent executive action, President Clinton:
-- Developed the nation's first anti-terrorism policy, and appointed first national coordinator.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up 12 U.S. jetliners simultaneously.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up UN Headquarters.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up FBI Headquarters.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the Israeli Embassy in Washington.
--Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up Boston airport.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up Lincoln and Holland Tunnels in NY.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the George Washington Bridge.
-- Stopped cold the planned attack to blow up the US Embassy in Albania.
-- Tried to kill Osama bin Laden and disrupt Al Qaeda through preemptive strikes (efforts denounced by the G.O.P.).
-- Brought perpetrators of first World Trade Center bombing and CIA killings to justice.
-- Did not blame Bush I administration for first World Trade Center bombing even though it occurred 38 days after they had left office. Instead, worked hard, even obsessively -- and successfully -- to stop future terrorist attacks.
-- Named the Hart-Rudman commission to report on nature of terrorist threats and major steps to be taken to combat terrorism.
-- Tripled the budget of the FBI for counterterrorism and doubled overall funding for counterterrorism.
-- Detected and destroyed cells of Al Qaeda in over 20 countries
-- Created a national stockpile of drugs and vaccines including 40 million doses of smallpox vaccine.
-- Robert Oakley, Reagan Counterterrorism Czar says of Clinton's efforts "Overall, I give them very high marks" and "The only major criticism I have is the obsession with Osama"
-- Paul Bremer, Bush's Administrator of Iraq disagrees slightly with Robert Oakley saying he believed the Clinton Administration had "correctly focused on bin Laden.”
-- Barton Gellman of the Washington Post put it best, "By any measure available, Clinton left office having given greater priority to terrorism than any president before him" and was the "first administration to undertake a systematic anti-terrorist effort."
--------------------------------------...
HERE, IN STARK CONTRAST, IS PART OF THE BUSH-CHENEY ANTI-TERRORISM RECORD BEFORE SEPTEMBER 11, 2001:
-- Backed off Clinton administration's anti-terrorism efforts.
-- Shelved the Hart-Rudman report.
-- Appointed new anti-terrorism task force under Dick Cheney. Group did not even meet before 9/11.
-- Called for cuts in anti-terrorism efforts by the Department of Defense.
-- Gave no priority to anti-terrorism efforts by Justice Department.
-- Ignored warnings from Sandy Berger, Louis Freeh, George Tennant, Paul Bremer, and Richard Clarke about the urgency of terrorist threats.
-- Halted Predator drone tracking of Osama bin Laden.
-- Did nothing in wake of August 6 C.I.A. report to president saying Al Qaeda attack by hijack of an airliner almost certain.
-- Bush - knowing about the terrorists' plans to attack in America, warned that terrorists were in flight schools in the US - took a four week vacation.
-- By failing to order any coordination of intelligence data, missed opportunity to stop the 9/11 plot as Clinton-Gore had stopped the millennium plots.
Blamed President Clinton for 9/11
---------------------
ZackAttack1992 --
Dubya halted the Cole inquiry and called home the dozens of FBI and other federal agents Clinton had sent to investigate the incident.
Don't let reality and the truth influence your opinion in any way.

Baloney: In 1996, Sudan expelled Bin-Laden; Bin-Laden possibly was headed home to Saudi Arabia; Clinton pleaded with the Saudis to allow Bin-Laden into the country so he could be arrested and extradited to the US; the Saudis refused because they did not want the headache that Bin-Laden might cause if they allowed him to return home; Bin-Laden went to Afghanistan instead; end of story.

Yes, the first tower attacks in '93 were a result of Bush Sr's administration. The 9/11 attacks in '01 were the result of Bill Clinton's administration. It is very simple. Clinton could have captured Bin Laden, but didn't. He followed his own morality instead of doing what was right for this nation. Without Bin Laden, there wouldn't be any 9/11. Therefore, Bill Clinton is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Why do you think Clinton wants to look so hawkish on this matter now? Why do you think he is trying to excuse his decisions and rewrite history? It is a classic sign of guilt. I wouldn't throw Clinton into prison for his ineptness, but it is absurd to lay this on Bush as he was only months into his first term as President. Those who hate Bush will lay blame on him for anything. They will blame him for any war, any disaster, and even for the weather itself. Such is the way of blind hatred. It is irrational and it can be dangerous. There are those in this nation that would like to lose the war just to make Bush look bad. They don't even realize that this could mean the end of America. Such is the ignorance of blind hatred.

They blame Clinton for the economic disaster too, like the 8 years of the Bush administration plus 6 years Republican controlled Congress have been "helpless" to alter any of the guidelines. as though the deregulation they authorized had no unfavourable effects. yet one hundred days in workplace and each thing is Obama's fault and not the residue from the previous administration's movements.

There is no one to be blame for the mess out there.
Just blunders and slip-ups with human errors created back in the past being expose with time after the mystery of us-911.
Just a challenges left behind by our creator for survivors with their children from after world war two to solve the mess out there for the good of mankind in the creation of peace on earth goodwill to men.
The blunders and slip-ups with human errors created back in the past that have never been trace or solve by those back in the past since it was not their time to solve it.
But the happening is in our time for us to solve before leaving with time which "The young one" born and raised by the dead Mummy could not solve it with their total loss of our creator'suniversal gifts of life that was lost with time.

9/11 happened because that swine anus Osama Binladen and his lovers conspired to fly airplanes into buildings to murder people.
The people who hijacked and murdered Americans were the children of swine, and were swine themselves.
Period. End of story.

No.
9/11 happened because there are people in the world who want to destroy us.
These people are not concerned with killing civilians, and they don't care about whether the rules of war were followed.
All they are concerned about is winning.
We would be well advised to understand this instead of deciding which of ourselves to blame.

I think both were partially to blame for not stopping the attack. The blame falls on the perps and planners though.

Clinton did nothing when the USS Cole was attacked, he could have caught bin laden but he pulled up short. So yes, Clinton deserves part of the blame. He should have retaliated for the Cole attack, it would have made bin laden think twice about 9/11.
