Randomly draw names of people who will be attending and designate each as Pilgrim or Indian. Before dinner go outside and reenact the first Thanksgiving Dinner only this time the Indians attack the Pilgrims killing most and you can then makeup your own theme and menu.

My advice to you is don't mess with thanksgiving. Having quirky themes is great for any other dinner party, but people have expectations for thanksgiving dinner being the traditional meal. My mother once made the mistake of making an Orange turkey, and has never heard the end of it.

I probably wouldnt do utensil free if you are having a traditional meal. I dont know how you could eat mashed potatoes or cranberries without silverware?!

You could do a first Thanksgiving theme, make feathered headresses and pilgrim bonnets and decorate accordingly? I dont really have many ideas for themes other than the traditional, pumpkins and cornstalks - Good luck!

Not sure about having no utensil's but here's an idea.

Since you're the host, make a list of all people that contributed to the first thanksgiving. Assign each member of your dinner party a name and have them research it. During dinner everyone takes a turn and describes their person and the other guests have to guess who they are.
