There isn't one I feel I can support. If they really want to win they end up taking so much money from corporations to make enough money to campaign, this is a disgrace.

We definitely do, but when it comes down to it... people always elect looks and charm over experience and qualifications.

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the only remotely decent candidates among the throng, but of course, since they are completely qualified, care about our future, are brutally honest, lacking in the looks department, and refuse to be some mega-corp's *****, they won't get elected.

When was the last time we had a truly great choice for President? It certainly wasn't within the last several decades, that is for sure. Unfortunately we take what we get and insist they do our will. When they come close we are glad. Unfortunately the current one and a few others in the last decades have not necessarily been doing the will of the people. I doubt we will get one anytime soon. Most people have better sense than to run for President. Those in the race who might be better than front runners aren't fincanced by the rich and powerful and so they won't be able to go further with their quest to be President. We can change that by the PEOPLE being involved in our government. The more complacent and apathetic we are the closer we can and will come to totalitarianism.

I agree. When it comes down to it you have to support the lesser of the evils, and even then it probably won't we that great of a choice.
Bush messed stuff up so bad, that it doesn't give the candidates much of a platform. Leaving the major platforms being Iraq and Health Care.
I think that I just might have voted for Colbert. But when it comes right down to it money talks and b.s walks.

I think Tiny Valkyrie has summed it up perfectly. It's all glitz and glamour with very little substance, which is a worry for such an important country as the US.

Sadly this state of affairs is now spilling over into the UK since Blair and now with the Conservatives carbon copy in David Cameron.

We do deserve better candidates. The only one who truly speaks for a change of the current statuesque is Ron Paul.

ALL of the candidates have just announced that they are dropping out of the race because they can't win your support.

Well that's US politics I'm afraid. You can't stand if you don't have money, and you don't have money if you aren't a tool of the corporations or the old money families.

No its not just you, we were just talking about that this morning. I think its more of a pole to see if America is ready for an african american president or a woman.
