You ask the question as if feminism in itself is a bad thing.

The feminist movement has helped give women equal rights concerning voting, owning property, individual identity (instead of being considered the property of her husband) and equal pay for equal work to name a few. It has also helped get women protection from domestic violence, rape, and sexual harrassment. In global terms, it's helped bring issues like ritual female genital mutilation and "dowry death" to global attention.

Of course, there are people who will take any ideology to an extreme (chauvanism, socialism, Islam, Catholicism). Most people think of outspoken "man-haters" when you say the word "feminist". To dismiss the hard-won victories of the feminist movement that modern women take for granted because of the ideals of the few extremists is very narrow-minded.

Men's organizations are only now forming. Because of that, feminism is going to have opposition where before it did not.
