Though slavery was the rue throughout al land, England`s conquests also provided railways,desparately-needed sanitation, education, medical aid and hospitals, arable farming, industries so the land`s peoples might flourish. And might travel and be integrated. Yes, we thrust Christianity too - we knew of , it`s what we or the rulers actally believed .For better or worse, we Kept the Faith. In every large group of people there are the cruel, crueller practices - but I am not naming nations but my own here. All wars in all countries were bloody, yet `Common-Wealth` meant exactly that and while we are all now aware of the cost to dignity, they lived to experience that, until each land wa relinquished and many wars against us, in retaliation, we surrendered in virtue - not all, but most - and we have globally evolved since then; Even free-ing those we fought to save the free world. even now, as a tiny, overpopulated island, the world is improved by our holding our ground - and emulates our standards. I find myself today, unexpectedly chardstands, as proud as I was when this Queen was crowned (I was 6). I can not see a sole Prime Minister or a President, holding a tiny island to the centre of world-standards, humane and largely, with relative integrity, nor being the monitor for our politically-engaged finances for 60 years (and this is not the first time...). Bless YOU, Pandora - I bicker with you - but you, too, have shewn me, we are not the disparate peoples I feared we`d become. A Royal English England to be proud of and in - my dad woud be happy - (that matters to me - for he fought for 6 whole years, and - here we all are for our Forces` efforts, which were mighty and most, most grim). Thank You. and more - United we are, when need and Dignity and Freedom demand so. And that is a given - constant. We withstand - and as a nation we still - and we will stand tall.
