I'm working on wedding invitations and I was just wondering if Bazzill Basics cardstock would be in an appropriate weight. The website doesn't specify. Here's a link to the product I'm looking at: http://store.scrapbook.com/bb-5-522.html . Thanks for any info you can provide!

I just went to my paper stash and compared the Bazil Basics to some of the other cardstock. I would say that the Bazil feels like a medium weight cardstock. It should be appropriate for invitations depending on what you're planning to do with it.

I have to disagree with the person who said this is a medium weight cardstock. It is a heavy weight cardstock. However, since it is textured, it turns most any project into one that is gorgeous. It can be printed on, but it LOOKS pixelated because of the texture. And I doubt very much you'll be able to write on it with a calligraphy pen... so I'm NOT sure that this is what you want for wedding invitations. I will say this however, I've often used Bazzill in my Wishblade, which is a computer cutter, and it's a very forgiving paper, in that if something doesn't cut all the way through, you can fix it pretty easily. It's a thick paper.

Vellum can be printed on... you just have to wait to let it dry before touching it. You might want to consider vellum instead. You can buy 50 packs of vellum from Michael's or Joann's, and with a coupon, you'd not pay very much for it at all. I'm just not sure, even with Bazzill's prettiness, that it's going to be what you want for wedding invites.

If you decide to go with Bazzill, then a couple of websites I like to buy from are:

http://time2scrapez.com/
http://stores.ebay.com/The-Scrap-Barn

Both stores have reasonable prices and reasonable shipping costs. Hope that helps.

Oh my goodness yes it's fine! Not for stamping and writing tho cause of the texture, but it is the finest cardstock out there .. here's a wedding invit I did ..

Can't stamp on Bazzill?! No problem, go to plan B lol .. use vellum!

Well look at the link and you will see ..

Oh also, as you can tell it's personal preference with everything in scrapbooking and this is no different .. but the look and feel does not "say" cheap .. so they'd be beautiful for any invitation!

I loved to play ball, and for the first time in my life, I'm actually useful, at a ballgame, instead of just a big stationary person, that maybe if the ball comes within this range, I might get it. I was wearing-I'd always wore XX kind of jersey. And then I went down to medium. And then the medium was too big, that it's coming down here.

So I'm wearing a rockin' outfit, and I'm making a play, and the guy stops, beans it in the face 'cause he says, "Look at your body. You're rockin' hard." And that was the first time I had ever gotten a compliment like that in my whole life.

Bazzill Cardstock

This is very nice cardstock, with clear colors and an interesting texture. The only caveat is that it isn't suitable for rubber stamping. The surface is too lumpy, and you need really really smooth paper for the ink to adhere evenly.

Stampin' UP Whisper White and Very Vanilla have the best stamping surfaces. The color papers are good too, but those two, especially the white, are just about perfect for stamping.

Protein need to lose weight and to repair muscle after working out. When muscles repair themselves, they grow. But that depends on the type of exercise. Usually lifting heavy weights breaks muscles more. So, there is more growth during repairs. Add a healthy fat into your diet, too. Salmon, flax seeds, nuts, olive oil. There are many useful information about losing weight and building muscles here:

Bazzill cardstock is very thick and I would think it would be to thick for wedding invitations. You would want a medium weight so that you have a clean crease and better printing surface. Check out a local printing company or paper supply store to see what they have.

I love Bazzill -- I use it a lot, but for wedding invites...not my first choice.

Good luck on your decision.

Cheers...Tam

Don't over push yourself. Keep going to the gym if you drink a lot of soda just drink less and less a day. Don't just stop that's not good for your body. Don't have a treat day, just keep working out and you will both loose fat and gain muscle. If you are oversized just do a lot of cardio workouts. Read more here:
