I saw this in a TV program last night about the last World Cup:

Before the World Cup a Paraguayan footballer, Roberto Acuna, was interviewed by a young Swedish journalist during the preparations for the competition.

Later the player had his translator call the girl saying he wanted to see her that night ‘to get to know her better’.

Rather than simply saying no she then reported the case to Fifa and demanded that he be banned from the competition, claiming she felt insulted.

I couldn‘t find out what punishment was eventually given to Acuna but fortunately, as Fifa is led by the famously politically incorrect Sepp Blatter, he was not banned from the competition.

************
However, it seems that (most) women not only still expect men to do the chasing but they also claim the right to scream ‘sexual harassment’ if they are not interested, rather than simply saying no.

Get your facts straight if you want to spew an opinion about something: it was a photographer not a journalist.

And the story below appears to say that the photographer was woken up in the middle of the night by the call - which was placed by a FIFA employee. It seems likely that if she had complained, it would have been to FIFA about their representative, but the story says no report was to be filed.

Beyond that:
One photographer is "most women"?
Her actions mean that women should be compared to the evil and genocidal Nazis?

You're a really deep thinker, no?

The story that made the news was about a female photographer who was there on assignment to take photographs of the players. An FIFA liaison employee called her in the middle of the night (waking her up) and asked if she would be interested in seeing a footballer whose name wasn't even mentioned in the brief conversation. Not likely she would be enthusiastic about going over to see some unknown (at the time) person for who knows what. There wouldn't be a problem if Acuna had made a decent attempt to meet her during appropriate hours.

She was definitely out of line reporting him to Fifa, but to play devils advocate, some women have to struggle to get to a position in which she is able to interview a male athlete at that level and she probably jumped the gun a little. I am sure she felt like if it was a male reporter this would obviously not have been an issue.....

i think like Democrats are the folk being fooled and the politicians that declare to be Democrats are in basic terms utilising that identity to get votes. The great wealthy globalists are people who be sure who gets to symbolize the occasion and get on the poll. The electorate are in basic terms the smart idiots who %. between people who're unswerving to the excellent wealthy globalists who placed them on the poll. the comparable is authentic of the Republicans. Few if any in place of work are unswerving to the folk between the two important events. BTW, this grew to become into the respond i attempted to place up on your deleted question.

Which is why she is still probably single.

Don't become a woman hater over this lady. She's a wimp and a problem. Unless the translator made it sound like he was proposing a sexual encounter (ever think of that?)

Maybe something was lost in the translation. If that's what the translator really said, it seems a bit of an over reaction.

That's what they got the power for, so they could abuse it. It's like the teacher who caught two young boys fighting. She stepped forward and said "Quit kicking that boy while he is down". The young man replied "Why do you think I got him down in the first place?"

I would have thought it was a compliment rather than an insult. Maybe SHE is the one who ought to be banned?

She was a little extreme in reporting him in this manner .... but I wouldn't go out with a footballer either, to be honest.
