This will be my way of protesting this Happy Holiday nonesense. Lets see who will have the guts to come knock on my door & tell em to take that out my own window.

Unfortunately it wasn't me who wrote this. A friend of mines gets the credit for that. :)

I can definitely see your outrage over the whole PC situation. Even though my winter holiday comes a few days before Christmas, I still like to get together with my family (the majority of whom are Christian) and have fun in the traditional way. It's not about religion to us, it's about love, family and togetherness.

Yes, by all means, put that on your door. Print it on festive holiday paper in a pretty script font:) And put glitter on it. Sorry, that's a throwback from my schooldays, when kids were allowed to make Christmas cards and hear classic Christmas stories in class. (I'll never forget my third grade teacher reading "The Night Before Christmas" to us.) From what I hear, most kids don't get that experience anymore. It's sad. Yes, display this poem with all your Christmas decorations. Put it on your website, too, if you have one. Very few people are happy with this PC garbage, even the ones they're trying to placate. (Like me. I'm not a Christian, but I have no problem with them. These PC people are breaking a very important common sense rule: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Christmas wasn't broke.)

Amen! I say Jesus is the Reason for the Season and this "Happy Holiday" stuff is just too politically correct for me.
I know not everyone believes in Jesus or the nativity story, but to me that is what Christmas is all about.

So Merry CHRISTmas!!!

And have a Happy New Year!

I've answered this question twice already basically, heres what I had to say to the other askers who seemed very defensive against Happy Holidays:

Since I'm Jewish, I always say Happy Holidays, and often am given a cold, defensive response in return. Perhaps people should realize that when someone says Happy Holidays, maybe they are trying to be inclusive, rather than "politically correct", and accept the good wishes.

Tell ya what...I live in a very rural area. They publish a weekly flyer with all kinds of things going on in our area.....This will be given to them & I know they will love it. Everyone here will. As to Lowes n Wal-Mart, don't go there n don't plan on it unless I feel ornery n dress up as an elf running thru their stores shouting Merry Christmas...Ho-Ho-Ho!!

Freedom of Speech allows you to post it in your window.

However, the "reason for the season" is not accurate. Lambs are not born in December but in the spring, so the Angel announcing Jesus' birth to the shepherds must have done so then and Jesus was probably born closer to Easter.

The early Christian church arbitrarily chose December to celebrate the birth for several reasons: the Romans already had a feast of Saturnalia and they wanted more converts (its easier to convert folks if you explain that their pagan traditions really celebrate your own doctrine), and other pagan traditions had offerings to the waning Sun (Son) to return to the Earth and make the days long again and the crops grow.

Amen Scooter!

I am grateful that my children go to a Catholic School, and we get to see their "Christmas" program.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

I will shout it, and say it to everyone... especially those who work at Wal-Mart and can't say it unless it's said to them first.
