Any bad effect on the battery, like reducing the lifespan or might spoiling it?

No, in fact I'm typing this on my laptop with a power point and no battery in at all! I believe that this helps to conserve valuable battery life as with all rechargeable batteries: the less you use them the longer the battery life.

No you dont need the battery does not have to be connected. I wont have any bad effects on the battery ether. But if you leave the battery disconnected for a long period of time then make sure that it is above 50% charge to help prevent any damage

Everything has a life span. If you mostly use your laptop where power is available without using the battery, remove the battery. It will last longer and you won't have to spend the big bucks to replace it.

In fact it may preserve it. Constantly charging the battery at 100% can reduce the life of the battery.

However, if that power cord comes unplugged, or if you get a power glitch, then you lose all the work since your last save. (At best)
