Because its Wade Phillips team , not Bill Parcells team. I myself had the cowboys winning the division before the season began so he really isnt doing anything unexpected from my perspective. My choices would be McCarthy, Tomlin, Crennel, Gruden, and Jauron. All of theose teams are playing way beyond the "experts" prognostications.

Well, nobody's a coach of the year nominee yet, it's only 9 games into the season. But if he turns them into a 13-14 win division champion, then he's got a claim to it because the same team he inherited from Parcells choked horribly down the stretch last year, didn't win the division, finished only 9-7 and lumped up like a bunch of little girls in the post season without even winning 1 game and pulling the ultimate choke job against Seattle. So if they wind up significantly better then he must have done a pretty good job.

Yea well Norv Turner inherited a team with the best RB and TE in football, not to mention a great D and how good has he done? Dallas also has new defensive and offensive schemes.

My vote for coach of the year would be between 3 candidates:

1. Dick Jauron
2. Tomlin
3. Romeo Cremmel

Because those three coaches have taken teams that were really bad last year and made them winning teams. I wouldn't go with Phillips or Dungy or Bill Belichick because they have good teams to begin with.

I had not heard his name mentioned as coach of the year. As a cowboy fan I'm glad to have him, but the cupboard was stocked. If the Browns can keep it going I would say give the award to Romeo Crennel.

Wade has made this team his. What would the record be if Tuna was still here. With Bill believing in putting it in cruise control once the team has a lead would have them at 6-3 at best. That tuna fish is too old don't eat it.

He seems to be doing a lot better with "Parcells team" than Parcells did.

Romeo in Cleveland would be my selection. Cleveland has exceeded expectations while Dallas is playing to expectations. Philips is only the babysitter until the puppet is ready to take over, so he would be babysitter of the year.
