NO THIS IS NOT THE REASON THAT YOUR GAS MILEAGE HAS DROPPED.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET YOUR VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FIRST SO THEN YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT IS WRONG AS WELL AS WHAT TO EXPECT.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR ANY CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE.

Yes said the blind man. I know exactly what you're going through. If you drag the owners manual out of your glove compartment you'll see the part no. of the Motorcraft plugs that fit your car. autopartswarehouse.com carries 5 brands for your car. Motorcraft has several listings. Every one of them call for an .054 gap. The wider the gap more spark is exposed inside your combustion chamber. This definitely will help burn the lowsey gas we have today burn more completely.

One thing puzzles me. Everywhere I looked both V8's in 04 were 281 ci.. One has a SOHC motor and the other a DOHC. Did you change motors? If you did that's another story.
