America's team: the Atlanta Braves. It is impossible to like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets. Both Boston and Mets hate the Yankees. And the Yankees hate the sox and mets.

I am a dyed in the wool to the core Cleveland Indians fan. How can you like the Yankees and the Red Sox? That tells me that you are not a true baseball fan but someone who is on the edge of it all - if one wins, ok, if not, ok. Not me. I might "like" a few other teams, like some of their players, respect their talent...etc. but when the Indians play them I want one thing: for the Indians to shred them, to run up the score and to beat the brains out of their opposition. Anyone liking NYY and Red Sox is like an Indians fan saying they are fans of the Indians and the Tigers. WHAT? No way. As an Indians fan, I want all their opponents, especially ones in their own division, to drown like rats in shark infested waters. If I thought I could get away with it, I would push obnoxious fans going for the other team over the outfield wall at Jacobs Field. None of this wishy washy stuff. Get the pic?

I can almost see you liking the Yankees and Mets. I know allot of people that like both, they say "they are both NY teams and are in different leagues so why can't I like both." OK fair enough, I don't agree with that, but it's a valid opinion, but to like the Yankees and Red Sox, no way. You can respect the other team, but you can't like and root for both teams. That's just wrong, especially for those two teams that their rivalry is over 100 years old.

I have stuck with my Rockies since the franchise has been around. All the way back in the days of the Blake Street Bombers and now with the upstart youngins. I have seen managers come and go. Finally Dan O'Dowd and the Charlie Monfort are making the right move. I also believe very strongly that Clint Hurdle should have won the Manager of the year along with Troy Tulowitzky should have won the ROY.

No offense, but you are probably too young to remember when the Red Sox sucked, otherwise you wouldn't be asking a question like this. It is not physically or emotionally possible for a true fan to like both the Red Sox and the Yankees, you have to choose one or the other.

you can not be a die-hard fan of any team BUT the Cubs...
all other teams have plenty of bandwagon jumpers...
anyone who can honestly say they cannot choose between the Red Sox, Yankees, or Mets should be definitely SHOT... those people just like baseball and do not have a favorite team at all... probably your classic bandwagon jumper...

You can't like the Yankees AND Red Sox...it's one or the other. The rivalry is too big to be wishy-washy on. Pick a team and stick with it. My favorite team is the Atlanta Braves...has been since I started watching them on TV when I was 5. They've had their ups and downs, but they're still my team and I support them.
