I have a friend who thinks he's amazing, too... and he is NOT! but I will never be the one to tell him... I just roll my eyes and let others suffer along with me...lol... let someone else be the bearer of bad news...

If it makes him happy to sing, let the dude sing. If he's going around telling other people he's a great singer, let him do whatever he needs to boost his self esteem. It's not your job to tell him this. Now, if you're managing the band and he wants to be the front person, then you tell him no, and when he asks why, tell him it's because when you sing you sound awful. Do NOT tell this guy he is good. Just smile when he gets on his rants. And feel free to leave the room when he starts heading toward the mic. That right there is a pretty big clue.

You want to let him know so he doesn't embarass himself, but you don't want to be hurtful.

Is this happening today???.....if not.....maybe you can get together with him and a video camera or webcam "for practice" and then he will hear himself......that way it won't be an insult from you.

Or when he does the assembly, recoard that and show it to him after, and he will know for the future.

Good luck

Let him come to reality. Someone at the assembly will set him straight. That way you won't lose a friend.

the best way to find out that you cannot sing is to hear oneself and get a reality check from his own thoughts. You could ask him to rehearse it and tape it and see where he could improve his own performance.....If he has any sense he will know for himself....without you having to criticize.

wow! your stupid, and you called yourself a friend.

if you really an friend ( true friend) , you would of told him, that he couldn't sing.

No! don't let him face it, he gonna feel embarrassed, then he gonna get mad at you. for not saying anything.

hating? omg ppl need to stop using that word. ppl use it to much.

he can't sing, you told him and your hating. that not hating at all.

if I was you ,I tell him. why lie? lies **** everything up

if its not hurting anyone then there is no reason to tell her. if shes gonna embarrass herself then u may want to mention it. just start out by telling her that your not sayin it to be mean but your jsut trying to be a good friend and thought she should know....just be as nice as possible.
