That is why Hillary didn't immediately say "no licenses for illegals."

Right?

Bush and Hillary are both WRONG in their scheme to give amnesty to illegals.

But, Bush isn't running for election. Hillary is.

It wasn't her call in the first place, driving requirements are up to the states, not the federal government. The governor of her state, NY, floated an idea about giving them a license so they would be responsible if they got into an accident, and also so they would have to pass a drivers test. Silly idea since they won't show up in fear of being deported, in fact he decided yesterday not to go through with it.
You don't, by the way become a citizen if you have a drivers license. And if you are paying Social Security, you probably have a job, which means no Medicaid or Welfare, and we all get free education in the primary and secondary schools now.

I know you are going to go with the answer that you want to hear, but you might as well know the truth too.

Wrong. The licenses for illegals question was posed to make her stumble. She attempted to say that though personally opposed to the idea, she sympathized with the problems faced by the governor of New York over the problem. This was not a flip-flop as has been claimed, nor was it a stand for granting anything to illegal immigrants. By the way, a driver's license is not a ticket to social security, medicare, welfare or free education. I would think that neo-cons would understand the art of doublespeak much better than that. It is a very high art form on the right.

Wrong. They won't get licenses but you think they will VOTE?

I doubt YOU vote with any consistency, yet think there are hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants just WAITING to be given the green light to go to the polls, risking exposure and deportation, to do something YOU won't do regularly?

SOME leaders actually research an issue before decreeing which way they stand behind it. I know this seems like an completely alien concept to you Sam, who lives for kneejerk reactionism and dealing with problems with your "feelings" (or how Cyst Limbaugh tells you to feel about it anyway), but some people actually use their BRAINS to find out the consequences of a proposal before deciding to accept or reject it. Compare this to Bush who was told how much of a chore invading Iraq would be, went in anyway and now knows what everyone ELSE in the world knew 5 years ago, making the invasion the most expensive ego trips in world history. And also thanks to your blind support of Bush and his failed domestic and foreign policies, Democrats will be swept into power in Washington, and Hillary Clinton will have the EXACT same POWER AND AUTHORITY Bush granted HIMSELF doing HIS tenure.

Is your passport in order Sam? Will you need help packing? You know, that whole "America- Love It or Leave It" thing, when do you leave? It's been 6 years since we invaded Afghanistan. When will YOU decide to put your life where your mouth is and enlist to fight those Godless Muslims you detest so much? When do you enlist Sam? When do you REALLY show yor support for the troops?

Time to stop the hate Sam, you should try developing your spirit rather than your logic skills (you need lots more work on them)

I think that the idea of giving "licenses" is self incriminatory, since it is an overt admission to being "illegal" Think about it, anything you say, and sign ,can be and will be used against you.
She is a lawyer, and she probably wanted more information before giving an opinion.

I think everyone would like illegals to become citizens. The problem is how do we go about it? De we deport them all, then have them come back legally? Have them pay a fine, then study for a citizenship test?

Illegals are going to drive. Wouldn't it be safer to make sure they know how?

Sad thing is... Most of the illegals dont have family here in the states so they wont be able to vote for her dumb idea.

Other legal immigrants have most of their families here.

Even if an illegal has 14 children here in the states, her children cant vote so her idea is worth nothing and she's targeting all the wrong people.

The Choice Is Clear... Vote Republican.

Well, which day are you talking about. She was for it and against it in the debate, then she came out in support of it the next day and now she's against it again. Give it another day or two and she will be on the other side of the issue.

True, she knows most of the illegals will support her so she is after any vote that she can get from their voting friends and family

If they are granted amnesty and provided with legal documentation, they will be taxed and their employers will be taxed, increasing the monies in SS and Medicare, etc...so what they take out in the future will have been put in by them.
