Before everyone continues attacking liberals for refusing to call people by offensive names, let's remember that Republicans get in on their fair share of political correctness. For example, they don't call it "global warming", they call it "climate change". While I think some political correctness can perhaps go to far and become ridiculous, I'd rather err on the side of caution and not sound like an ignorant offensive fool. That's what bothers me about the conservative form of political correctness: it's not designed to avoid offending people, but rather to pull the wool over their eyes.

I am not certain why your question strikes me as a bit ironic. How can there be something wrong with being correct? We, as a nation, are not particularly politically correct. We have developed some rules of interaction that have the ring of political correctness, lest we might offend some group. This does no real harm to the country as a whole, nor does it change anyone's long held opinions about particular people. The major problem in the U.S. today is that it is being run from a very top heavy, yet small triangle at the tip of a large pyramid. Americans have been drawn slowly, but most surely into the plan by the promise of a piece of the pie. The problem is tat there aren't enough big pieces to go around and many must settle for thin little bits.

Political Correctness started with the fall of Communism. The Communist needed a new battle to fight

There is nothing wrong with being PC to a certain extent. And I think what is wrong is that we don't respect creatitivity and intellect anymore. It's all about who can make the most money.

And I find happy holidays to be better anyway. I think the initial idea is stupid but who wants to cite every single holiday according to the person you speak to.

I guess it's annoying to everyone else because they live around Christians only(or maybe respect them only), but that's not the case for me.

I dont think liberals nor conservatives ahve anything to do with it. It's small organizations of pricks that want to make something out of nothing all the time., There was this one commercial about how Dads are generally made out to look like they are obliviant about life...I think it was a cell phone commercial and the next day tsome Organization for the ethical treatment of American Dads came forth about finding the commercial offensive. Okay, who start these ridiculous fag organizations and why aren't they shot on site? thats what i want to know. I say we all tag our cars with chritmas cheers, ho ho ho's and Merry Christmases this year. F everyone else..this is our damn holiday.

You, the people.

First, it is NOT your country - your soil. And if "country" includes attorneys, media, church and the like - they are not yours either. So please take leave of the "OURS," and "WE" mentality.

Does anyone remember the Batman movie with Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey, where the villians are able to brainwash (program) everyone through the control of mass communication?

There's your answer.

Oh, and "Christ-mass," that comes from the priests of Mystery Babylon, the Roman Catholic Church-State, not Messiah.

Good day

Political Correctness is a sure sign of being Brain Dead, and being out of touch with the majority of people in this country. Thank a Liberal for it, and Thank the Press for promoting it.

I don't know if we are "so Politically Correct" all the time. I mean, look at Ann Coultier, Howard Stern and then there is Bobby Jindal, who says that he supports a ban on abortion even in rape cases? So I would not say that we are a nation that is always politically correct.
