Whenever you see a number with a decimal, do the following:
Put a line under it.
Under the line, write "1"
Now take your pencil and starting at the decimal point, move to the right, counting the number of spaces until you get to the right of the last number. If there are 3 spaces, put 3 zeros after the 1 in the bottom part (denominator) of your fraction.
Erase the decimal point.
Now you have a fraction. It may need to be simplified, but that's another exercise (see below).
Let's try it with 0.125
0.125
_____
1
To get the decimal from where it is to the right of the 5, you have to move it 3 spaces, so you need to add 3 zeros to the "1" in the bottom (denominator). Here is your fraction (after you erase the decimal):
0125
____
1000
Of course, you can drop the leading zero to get
125
___
1000
When I mentioned simplifying, you could divide the top and bottom of your fraction by 125 to get
1
__
8
I hope this helps.

well it equals 125/1000....
you see, when there are three numbers after the decimal point, this is what you do to make it a fraction....
first, you take out the decimal point..... in this case, the number'll become 125....
then, take the number of digits, get the number, and put it over 1 plus as many zeroes as digits.... so if you have three digits, you have to put that number over 1 and then three 0's (1000)...
then, all you have to do is put the fraction in lowest terms....
that's all there is to it. so, ur answer is 1/8.... hope it helps :)
