Seriously though, it amazes me how so many internet users assume that everyone else lives in the USA, and therefore the question is applicable to all. Strange, considering that the USA contains about one twentieth of the world's population.

I definitely agree with you, but with the way they explain themselves and how they express situations, you can discern, western or european people usually don't have hang-ups, they are vocal and uncontrollable, asian people are more reserved and controllable in explaining their problems, so are the situations they are in..what I do, I always go specific to the problem or answer very impersonally as it will give a general impression for whichever he or she comes from..so I keep safe........

I agree, it is a problem. When I give my opinion, especially if it depends on location, I mention the situation as I understand it here in the UK. Hopefully it helps

If they are asking under USA questions only, I think you can assume they are from the USA unless they state otherwise.
