My classmates breath is making my eyes water. I offered her gum, and she said no. What do I do? I'm about to faint from trying to hold my breath for so long.

Situations like this require some deliqite handling. You don't want to be rude and want to get the point accross.
If i had bad breath and didn't know it I would want to know. Try saying something like this to help them understand.
Tap them on the shoulder and say. excusse me but your breath is like a rancid portable shitter used to hide a dead body at an all you can eat sausage contest .
Im not saying its bad I just wanted to ask if you where busy next weekend. We are planning on painting the house and could use your help to strip the paint off the walls.
Then see if they take the gum.
As a guy to another guy i would say man your breath smells like azz here take some gum.

Print out some information on bad breath, usually from gum infections. Then Put it on her desk.
You could add a little box of breath mints.
Hydrogen peroxide it great for healing your gums and curing bad breath. Just swish and brush with it.

LOL I had to laugh when I read this. My husband, bless his heart, had the worse breath ever! Worse than a dog! I tired to give him gum, he turned it down saying it hurt his teeth. I tired to give him breath mints, he turned it down saying how much sugar was in it and he was trying to lose weight. I was so much at wits end. I even tried to hint by putting my hand in front of my mouth and blowing out saying something like “does my breath smell”, I hopes he would do the same ........ wrong he told me I could eat onions and garlic all day and my breath would still smile like roses. :( Yes it was sweet for him to say but his breath uckkkkkkkkkk So finally I told him, I was so worried I cried, he laugh his butt off and told me to give him some mints. Told me all I had to do was let him know. After that he carried tick tacts in his pocket and would pop them in his mouth the moment he got home so he could get good kisses. LOL Tell him, if he loves you, he will understand.

I had that with a woman next to me on the bus who kept on insisting on talking to me..I work all nite long on phones, do not feel like being pestered by strangers on the bus who refuse to stop talking. I'd explained to her, "I'm just getting off work, am tired, I really do not feel like engaging in conversation right now" she said Oh, I understand ..etc yak yak yak..and her breath was foul! I offered her some mints which she refused and just about then I'd had enough and I said "Then you have the option of shutting up or moving to another seat (she'd gotten on after I did and had sat next to me) your breath smells like you've been eatin' dog food! She mumbled something and got up and moved. As I was getting off the bus I saw her next victim trying to keep his face turned away from her and she was just yakking a mile a minute..poor guy..sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do

Sounds like your classmate can't take a hint. When this classmate comes to speak to you, take a step back or ask him/her to take a step back. If they ask why, tell them "I'm sorry to have to tell you this but your breath smells bad".
I work with a couple of people who have breath so bad, they could knock over a cow. I usually take a step back. They don't get it, and they don't ask why I do that.

Just tell her!! You are doing her a favor. People don't notice stuff about them self. I got a College profesor who once told me... If you need to say something to someone about themself and that thing will actually help them in some way then just tell them! Good Luck Honey =O)

OMG no I really think it's not your job to tell her.. someone in her house should tell her like her mom or something its not your place to tell her.. or get like a friend to you but a complete stranger to her to go up to her one day and talk to her and tell her as a one off thing. and they'll never see each other again.. i don't know but it's not your thing to tell her..
